Bryan is one of those rare gem developers that not only has a solid understanding of technical matters you’d expect from devs, but also has excellent communicative skills. During my time working with him, I’ve had so many grateful moments where Bryan broke some complex technical matter down into easy to understand parts, increasing my understanding and that of the entire team.

And the list doesn’t stop there! As a person, Bryan is very curious and interested in the stories that other people have to tell. This doesn’t limit itself to social events, professionally this elevates his work from good to great. Not only did Bryan fulfill the role of scrum master for a while, he toed the line when it came to CI/CD, dockerization, team processes & collaboration, and was always available when I ran into trouble with the more technical aspects of setting up automated tests and mocking.

His curiousity and interest in people leads him to go do work where there’s work, to improve the things that need improving. He’s often the first one to speak up when something is going wrong, or to pitch and try out a new idea. He is always prepared to go the extra mile to improve a product or the situation of the team.
